Horse Times Egypt: Equestrian Magazine :Riders Blog :JOS LANSINK' S ROAD TO SUCCESS

Jos Lansink was born in The Netherlands on the 19th March, 1961… At the young age of three his passion for horses started as he started riding ponies, and when he was 12, he was practically an outstanding equestrian Dutch champion!

Hans Horn was Lansink’s trainer since he aged 14, as he rode his horse, Felix…

Even in a young age Jos Lansink had an endless run of Grand Prix victories, and on Jos’s first day of competing in the Olympics (in Seoul), he placed seventh individually, being one of the youngest riders there!

Jos Lansink has ridden a large amount of some legendary horses, such as Egano and Libero,

Jos won team gold in 1992, at the Barcelona Olympics!

In 1996 he moved to: Leon Melchior’s Zanghersheide Stables and became a naturalized Belgian…

Now Jos Lansink is as successful as ever, Jos now runs his own stables, and tends over fifty horses!
