NOFA RESORT HOSTS THE LARGEST SPORTS, SOCIAL & TOURISTIC FORUM IN THE REGION
RIYADH CITY WILL HOST THE KING ABDULLAH SHOW JUMPING FESTIVAL FROM MARCH 31ST UNTIL APRIL 12TH, 2013. THE TOURNAMENTS, WHICH WERE ANNOUNCED BY THE HEAD OF THE HIGHER ORGANISING COMMITTEE, BRONZE OLYMPIC MEDALLIST HRH PRINCE ABDULLAH BIN MITEB BIN ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ, WILL TAKE PLACE IN NOFA EQUESTRIAN RESORT, ONE OF MOST BEAUTIFUL EQUESTRIAN RESORTS IN THE WORLD.
King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Show Jumping Festival, managed by RPM Sports Marketing Company, aims to be a forum that combines all Saudi, Gulf and international show jumping riders in three different tournaments. The total amount of prize money is set to be more than S.R. 3,750,000 Saudi Riyals, one million of which is dedicated for “Lel Watan” [For Country] Tournament.
Being held for the 4th time, Saudi riders are set to compete between March 31st and April 3rd. The second tournament “Gulf”, classified by the FEI as a CSI-3* show, is exclusively dedicated for GCC show jumpers who will compete between the 5th and 7th of April with a total amount of 700,000 Saudi Riyals in prize money.
As of April 10th and until the 12th, the 3rd tournament classified as “International”, will be a CSIJ-A 5* show - the first of its kind in the Kingdom and is offering total prize money of 2,050,000 Saudi Riyals for grabs. On the side-lines of the Festival, the Higher Organising Committee allocated two competitions for the best media reporter and the best photographer.
As equestrian sport is considered to be one of the most important and prestigious local and international activities, the Festival is also aiming to make it one of the major touristic and athletic attractions in the Kingdom.
The Festival will include the following attractions; a village exclusively designated for families with a recreational area for children, a ladies only VIP tent, a special market for the promotion and sales of traditional Saudi crafts-work, home-made refreshments, a raffle draw, and many other activates to revive ancient Arab heritage. In addition, guests will have the opportunity to meet and communicate with Sports and Entertainment celebrities who will attend the Festival.
King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Show Jumping Festival will be a unique event combining social and touristic activities along with equestrian sport.
