Salon du Cheval d’El Jadida: 13th Edition October 18-23
El Jadida, Morocco – June 16, 2022 – After being cancelled for two years due to the COVID pandemic, the Salon du Cheval d’El Jadida will be held this year from the 18th to the 23rd of October, under the High Patronage of His Majesty, King Mohammed VI, may God assist him.
This 13th edition will be based on the theme “The Horse, Territorial Development Factor”. Indeed, the horse is associated with the daily life of Moroccans and throughout the national territory. This noble creature is present in family, national and religious celebrations and theend of the agricultural season exhibitions or Moussems, thus generating a socio-economicactivity with high added value.
The horse is also a working animal because it is useful in transport and agricultural work. And it is precisely these multiple roles, all related to development, that will be highlightedthroughout the Salon du Cheval which, moreover, will once again position itself as theessential platform in the promotion of the national equine sector.
To achieve this, a rich and diversified program will be established.
It includes highlights such as the Tbourida competition where the best Sorbas ,each representing a region of Morocco, will compete in the framework of Grand Prix of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Tbourida, or the Grand Prix of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Jumping, final round of the Morocco Royal Tour.
Other national and international competitions will be organized:
International Arabian Horse Show “A” , the Moroccan Arab horses Breeders’ Cup, International Barb Horse Championship, the Champions Cup for Arab-Barb Horses, Equi-play Tour competitions and the International Show Jumping CSI 4* W / CSI 1* of the Morocco Royal Tour.
In addition to these very high-level competitions and exhibitions, there will be fun, artisticand sporting equestrian activities, as well as a complete program based around thepromotion of professions and know-how related to the horse world. Professionals andgeneral public will share great moments of sport and emotion. And as is tradition, the horsewill once again be at the center of many cultural and scientific conferences. It will be anopportunity for researchers, students and horse enthusiasts to exchange and discuss newdevelopments related to the sector.
In order to raise awareness among new generations, educational workshops will also beoffered to young public while equestrian shows will be performed by some of the mostfamous foreign as well as high-level Moroccan artists.
