FRANCE FIRES UP FOR THE LONGINES LEAGUE OF NATIONS
From 18 September till 21, Haras de Gassin – Polo Club Saint-Tropez will welcome, for the very first time, a stage of the Longines League of Nations™. After Abu Dhabi (UAE), Ocala (USA), and Rotterdam (NED), the prestigious international showjumping circuit will make a stop in the Var region before heading to its grand finale in Barcelona (3 to 5 October).
This unprecedented event on the Côte d’Azur – and the only French leg of the series – highlights the sporting rise of the Haras de Gassin – Polo Club Saint-Tropez, now firmly established as a landmark venue on the international jumping stage.
A VENUE CELEBRATED BY THE WORLD’S BEST
Since 2023, Haras de Gassin – Polo Club Saint-Tropez has hosted international showjumping competitions, already attracting some of the sport’s biggest names. Among them American Laura Kraut, Brazilian Marlon Modolo Zanotelli, Luxembourger Victor Bettendorf, Belgian Grégory Wathelet, and French stars such as Simon Delestre (world no. 10), Julien Épaillard (world no. 11), Nicolas Delmotte, Alexa Ferrer, and Rio 2016 Olympic champions Roger-Yves Bost and Philippe Rozier. France’s new generation – including Antoine Ermann, Jeanne Sadran, Mégane Moissonnier, and Nina Mallevaey – also make it their regular training ground.
With the arrival of the Longines League of Nations™, the venue marks another milestone, becoming a true stronghold of international showjumping. For the highlight of the four-day event, the two-round team competition on Sunday, September 21, the world’s top 10 nations will face off: Ireland, Germany, Belgium, the United States, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, and France.
Currently leading the provisional standings is the French team which will have a unique opportunity to shine on home ground before the final showdown in Barcelona.
Ireland won the opening leg in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The United States won the second leg in Ocala, USA.
The Netherlands won the third leg in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
