:::A supple horse who is relaxed and whose physical and mental state indicate he enjoys his work is, of course, ideal in any discipline and especially dressage. A tense, stiff or rigid horse is unable to use his body effectively and can’t properly demonstrate rhythm, relaxation, connection, impulsion, straightness or collection. » Fourth Level Dressage
:::This video is part of a video series by Axel Steiner (FEI 5* Dressage Judge and clinician) that examines the history of dressage and the different requirements for each level of competitive dressage from the National to International levels.

Fourth level is the last National dressage level and prepares the horse and rider for the International levels. There are a lot of new requirements in this level including a collected walk, very collected canter, walk pirouettes and multiple flying changes on the diagonal.
