ASIA'S TOP EQUESTRIAN TALENT GATHER IN PATTAYA FOR FEI ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS 2025
The Thai Polo & Equestrian Club is set to host the FEI Asian Championships 2025 from 24 November to 7 December, welcoming athletes and horses from across the continent for the second edition of this premiere regional event. Originally postponed from 2023, the Championships will feature competition across five FEI disciplines: Dressage, Para Dressage, Showjumping, Eventing, and Endurance.
The venue, a purpose-built, multi-discipline haven east of Pattaya, provides a world-class stage to for equestrian sport in Asia.
Endurance:
The Endurance Championship takes place on 29 November with the 120km CEI2 race. The field of 22 athletes from five nations is spearheaded by reigning World Champion, HH Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa of Bahrain with his World Champion mount, Everest La Majorie. The UAE also fields a strong team, including Saeed Ahmad Jaber Abdulla Al Harbi, a silver medallist at the 2024 FEI Endurance World Championship.
Dressage:
The dressage and para dressage competitions will run from 24 to 29 November featuring a record number of participating nations. The dressage competition is held at Small Tour level, with 22 riders from eight countries entered. Key contenders include Hong Kong's Jacqueline Wing Ying Siu with Izonik, and Thailand's contingent led by HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya Mahidol. Bahrain will be represented by Aneesa Al Mahmood and her horse Handsome.
Eventing:
The Eventing Asian Championship runs from 30 November to 3 December and comprises a hybrid format of the CCI3-B Dressage test, the CCI2-L cross-country test, and the CCI3 jumping test. Competition is expected to be fierce, with three national teams (Hong Kong, India, and Thailand) and 17 individual athletes confirmed. China’s Alex Hua Tian, one of Asia’s strongest eventing athletes, is among the top contenders, alongside Hong Kong's veteran Annie Ho and Thailand’s gold medal-winning team members from 2019, including Korntawat Samran.
