ROLEX GRAND SLAM OF SHOW JUMPING

NEWS FLASH – April 26th, 2013 – Report from the FEI Rolex World Cup Final, Gotheburg

ROLEX HAS JUST TAKEN SHOW JUMPING SPORT TO A WHOLE NEW UNHEARD OF LEAGUE.

In a press conference, Rolex has announced its new partnership with the three leading and most prestigious CHIO show jumping events Spruce Meadows, Aachen and Geneva.

The three events will be combined together in order to present what is now called ‘The Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping’ where if riders win the three events consecutively, a bonus of 1,000,000 million Euros will be earned.

The concept of this new combination and development to show jumping sport matches that of Tennis and Golf; the last tennis player to win all four Grand Slam tournaments was Steffi Graf in 1988.

This new announcement will take effect this year. London 2012 Olympic champion and winner of the 2006 Rolex Grand Prix in Geneva, Steve Guerdat stated, “This is quite the special announcement and a big dream for any rider and athlete. Combining the three events together would be like bringing a whole new world into show jumping sport; I am certain many other sports people will be jealous from us!”

Full report about technicalities and total prize money to follow.
