SAUDI EQUESTRIAN’S TOP HORSE ‘SULTAN V’ RETIRES

It is official, the top Saudi Equestrian's horse Sultan V now returns to his former rider Bruce Menzies. The 13 year old gelding has been competing with Saudi Arabia's Abdullah Al-Sharbatly for the last 3 years.

 

Abdullah had great results with this top horse, the couple achieved a bronze medal in the Olympic Games of London 2012 as well as winning Morocco royal tour in 2013 and won a world cup show in Doha back in 2013, along with other great placings.

 

Al-Sharbatly has stated "Sultan officially retired a few months ago, he has some issues which already stop him from competing at the top level". Abdullah continued to say "our decision was to give him retirement from the sport because of his bad health condition, we could have brought him back in the field but we respect and honour him for his glorious achievements".

 

Abdullah's last words were "Sultan has issues and deserves to rest now ". Bruce Menzies has produced with the gelding great Nations Cup rounds in 2011 in Gijon, Falsterbo, Lummen and Lisbon.
