Helen Langehanenberg (Billerbeck) will be piloting young four-legged “jewel“ Rohjuwel through the final of the Louisdor Prize, Isabell Werth (Rheinberg) has her spectacular mare Bella Rose with her for the same event, as well as young Lezard for the final of the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal. There she will meet team colleague Kristina Sprehe (Dinklage) and her stallion Desperados.

SHOW JUMPING STARS:

Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff and Paul Schockemöhle play host at the Frankfurt Festhalle, and the mixture of routiniers and young guns promise to provide sensational sport. Last year’s winner Christian Ahlmann has prescribed a break for his horses, in consultation with the German Trainer, but fans can look forward to seeing three-time World Cup champion Marcus Ehning (Borken). Making the most of the CSI in Frankfurt: DKB Riders Tour winner Carsten-Otto Nagel from Wedel, Ehning (Borken), and Janne Friederike Meyer (Hamburg) – all three of whom won World Championship golds in Kentucky in 2010. 2008 Olympic silver medallist and 2011 European champion Rolf-Göran Bengtsson from Sweden will be there, as well as 2006 World champion Jos Lansink and 2006 team World champion Jeroen Dubbeldam (Netherlands), who also won Olympic gold in Sydney in 2000. In Katharina Offel (Wipperfürth) the tournament will be welcoming one of the best Amazonian women in the world to Frankfurt, and in Hugo Simon (Austria), a man who has literally already won everything – some things, like the World Cup, he has won three times.

The up-and-coming generation will not make things easy for the established show jumpers. David Will (Pfungstadt) proved that with his world cup win in s`Hertogenbosch, just like Angelina Herröder (Büttelborn) with her triumph in Dortmund. 18 year-old Irish rider Bertram Allen is the Emerald Isle’s top young rider, and many people’s hopes are resting on the shoulders of Sweden’s Douglas Lindelöw. At just 21, the European Junior Champion had already won several big tests.
