RICHARD VOGEL WINS AGAIN AT CSIO BARCELONA
The European Champion secured his second victory in the Trofeo La Vanguardia.
Esther Modroño also repeats with a win in the Copa Negrita.
Current European Champion was once again the main figure in today’s daytime session at CSIO Barcelona. After his win yesterday in the Copa RCPB, Richard Vogel confirmed his form in the Trofeo La Vanguardia, a Table A against the clock, where he finished a clear eight seconds ahead of the runner-up. Riding Gangster Montdesir, the German crossed the finish line in 64.70 seconds, while Spain’s Alberto Márquez Galobardes on Corazon K posted 72.65 seconds. France’s Olivier Perreau took third with Himalaya du Temple in 73.23 seconds.
The day had started with Esther Modroño claiming the Copa Negrita, also a Table A against the clock. The Galician rider, who had already taken Thursday’s Trofeo Fuze Tea, was fastest again with Quibus van de Klothoef in 62.30 seconds. Josep Marc Boncompte, riding Icono de Champion, finished second on 64.99 seconds, and Anna Villagrasa with Maxime was third in 65.72 seconds.
Tomorrow, the third competition day will open at 12:00 h with the Copa Diputación de Barcelona – Trofeo Calvet, a pony exhibition. At 14:30 h the Trofeo CaixaBank will take place, before the highlight of the day at 20:00 h: the Copa de SM La Reina – Trofeo Freixenet – Premio Generalitat de Catalunya.
