SCOTT BRASH WINS THE GRAND PRIX OF CSIO BARCELONA
Scott Brash soared to victory in the Grand Prix of the City of Barcelona with a masterful performance in Saturday’s feature class at CSIO Barcelona — securing his sixth 5* Grand Prix win of the season. The British rider, European silver medallist just a few months ago, delivered the fastest performance aboard Hello Folie in a two-round Table A against the clock, stopping the clock at 52.12 seconds. He had already stamped his authority on the class in the opening round, producing the quickest clear.
The runner-up spot went to the USA’s Alex Matz with Ikigay, finishing on 52.90 seconds — just 0.78 behind Brash. Italy’s Piergiorgio Bucci and Kiss Me Fabulesse claimed third with a time of 53.77 seconds. Spain’s top finisher was Alberto Márquez Galobardes, who produced an excellent round with Kelly to take a creditable sixth place.
